As you wear jewellery more frequently, it becomes part of your lifestyle and look. Jewellery is meant to be worn, enjoyed and admired, however, jewellery is not indestructable and you should keep the following tips in mind:
- DON’T wear your jewellery to the gym. Not only can it get caught on gym equipment that may damage your jewellery, it will get very dirty very quickly from all the sweat.
- DON’T wear your rings when lifting weights or heavy items. The hardness of steel and the force generated by the heavy weights will damage your rings - even platinum rings.
- DON’T wear your jewellery when swimming - especially rings, as they can easily slip off in the water and some chlorines in swimming pools can tarnish the metal.
- DON’T wear your jewellery when sleeping as it can become caught in bed sheets and hair.
