Gold

Gold has a long and enduring history and has been highly sought to kings, royalty and governments the world over. The Ancient Incas referred to gold as the “tears of the sun”. Gold is the most popular metal for fine jewellery and we offer our gold jewellery in 3 purities and 3 colours. Gold is resistant to corrosion, rust and tarnishing, however, it is a very soft metal which is why gold is alloyed with other metals (silver, copper, zinc and palladium) to give it strength so it is suitable for fine jewellery. In its purest form, 100% fine gold is referred to as 24 Karat (24K). We offer gold for fine jewellery in 18K (75% pure gold), 14K (58.5% pure gold) and 9K (37.5% pure gold). Our gold jewellery is available in 3 colours: yellow gold, white gold and rose gold.

Yellow gold is the most traditional colour for fine jewellery as its luster and warm colour is not mistaken for anything else.

White gold has been a very popular metal for many years due to its colour resemblance to platinum and neutral colour which can be accessorised with any fashion style. Our white gold alloy is a palladium-based blend (palladium comes from the platinum-group of metals) and is renowned for its non-tarnishing colour, superior strength and excellent wearing characteristics. Our white gold does not contain any nickel.

Rose gold has been a popular metal over the years and has become a fashion icon. Known for its understated appearance, rose gold looks great on any skin tone. We offer rose gold in two different tones: a softer/lighter tone for a more understated look and a “reddish”/darker tone for a more striking look.

Platinum

Platinum is well renowned for its superior strength, durability and colour. Platinum’s natural colour never fades or tarnishes. Our platinum for jewellery is a blend of 95% pure platinum and 5% alloy mixture (iridium, ruthenium, palladium or other alloys), which makes it the perfect blend as it is hypoallergenic (perfect for people with skin conditions) and malleable enough to mould into fine jewellery. Platinum is considered to be one of the most valuable of the precious metals due its to rarity and strength.

Silver

Fine silver is a very common precious metal that is very affordable due to its wide availability. Silver is quite a soft metal so it is often alloyed with other metals to give it strength to make it suitable for jewellery and accessories. Sterling Silver is a precious metal blend that consists of 92.5% pure silver and 7.5% copper and is indicated by the purity stamp “925”.
